This programme aims to equip those with no counselling background with a better understanding of counselling, help them develop greater self-awareness, and enhance their personal qualities as effective people-helpers in the workplace as well as in the community.

Microskills and Techniques for Effective Para-Counselling [2]

This course is a continuation to the Basic counselling courses for learners who want to expand their skill set in helping people. The practical counselling skills and strategies taught in this course aim to increase learners’ confidence in promoting growth to help people overcome life challenges.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Practice [3]

This course provides participants with the fundamentals of solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) practices, which is an approach in counselling, psychotherapy, social work, clinical supervision, coaching, education,
and management. SFBT approaches help clients to generate solutions and is client-centred, strength-based, goal-focused, contextual, and usually brief.

SATIR Model: Enhance Interpersonal Skills and Strengthen Relationships

You will learn how to use the Satir model and techniques to help your clients or yourself (self-help) to enhance interpersonal skills in order to strengthen relationship with others such as family members, colleagues, superiors, stakeholders and friends.

Managing Challenging Behaviours of Seniors

This course will teach you how to identify and understand the root causes as well as key issues of the seniors’ challenging behaviours, learn useful and easy-to-remember techniques and strategies to manage different behaviours, minimise re-occurrences, and how to properly follow up with effective care for the seniors.
